If you've visited Ty Rhos farm, we'd love to hear your thoughts - positive or negative, to help us improve our campsite.
We appreciate your time and thank you in advance for your comments.
Beautiful place, very quiet and relaxing. Just stayed one night as it was the dog's first camping experience and we didn't want to be too far away from home! Wish we could have stayed longer. Will definitely return. Lovely walks along the coastal path. Just goes to prove that you don't need to go far from home or abroad if you have good weather in mid Wales!
Just returned from rhos farm amazing time again as we went the year before loved it then too Andy and Helen are loverly people extremily helpful and the site is spotless we plan to spend are anniversary there this september x thx guys Clair and Ste x
Had a one night stay over, excellent campsite with good facilities. Good views out to the sea and also a few walks nearby. Owned by a friendly family who were very welcoming. Recommended going to the Queens pub which had excellent food and drink, this campsite made our stay in New Quay !
We have just had the most amazing stay at this site, the weather helped 10 days of glorious sunshine. The site has stunning views out to sea and is very well kept. It is run by Helen and her husband who will do anything to help if required. We saw dolphins in the harbor at New Quay which was very nice. There are some lovely walks across the local footpaths a OS map is a must, the coast path is also very nice but does have some steep climbs. We would recommend this site and will be visiting again, we went in the middle of June and it was quite with a max of about 10 campers on site, but we are told it does get busier in school holls. Facilities are adequate and very clean, two showers and one toilet (may have to wait for toilet in busier times) Pub about 15 mins walk away open 12-3 in the week and all day Sat and Sun, the food is very nice, they do a lunch menu 2 meals for £10. All in all a great stay 10 out off 10 thank you
Beautiful, clean, quiet site with a great sea view and walking distance to town. So relaxing, wish we'd being staying longer but I will definitely be back and recommend to friends.
We have just returned from two weeks at ty rhos and to be honest what has got to be the best holiday ever. The campsite was spotless the facilities were cleaned regulary throughout the day Helen and Andy were attentive and fun hosts who worked hard to make our stay enjoyable nothing was to much trouble for them a family in a neighbouring tent had car trouble they organized for the car to be picked up and repaired with no bother. we booked to stay one week and ended up staying two and would have loved to stay longer but we had to get home.I cant wait to go back next year for 3 weeks this time.
Just had a 2 day stay here and loved it, quiet enough for a peaceful break. It's in a beautiful place and not too far to walk into New Quay, we went into town and watched the dolphins just off the harbour wall!!! Well looked after by Andy who couldn't do enough to help. Very well maintained site with just a few showers, washing up facilities and toilets. Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to get away from it all. Close to the Ceredigion Coastal path which is awesome and a must no matter how long or far you can get.
Just got home from a stay at the Ty Rhos Farm. We have had a great time and enjoyed our stay on this peaceful site. They are so helpful when I had a puncture and even took it to be fixed for me and delivered it back to my tent what a service. They go all out to make sure your stay is pleasant and as a single mum camping can be stressful but made easy by such a helpful and pleasant site. Dogs are made welcome with great dog walks and also they can go on the local beach which is a great bonus to us dog lovers! I hope to see you all again next year. Thank you so much for a great holiday!
Great site great owners Andy and Helen have become good friends. And we have been back to the site evey year since 2010! And will return this august. The site is clean and has a great view of the sea. The toilets and showers are clean and has washing up area aswell. New quay is only a short walk from site.We would recommend Ty Rhos farm to anybody.
We've just come back from a lovely weeks holiday, TyRhos was a lovely campsite in a great location, very clean and well looked after. Helen and Andy are a lovely couple, very helpful and friendly. Our Girls loved every minute of their Holiday and are looking forward to returning in the future. Thank you once again
we thoroughly enjoyed our 8 night stay here in august this year. The views were truly amazing, with lots of great walks for our two collies, harry and Charlie. Helen and Andy who run the site are so friendly and welcoming. we'll definitely be back in the very near future. GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT VIEWS, GREAT LOCATION ***********

Thank you very much for your warm reception over the weekend we had a fabulous time. The weather held up and we made the most of 3 local beaches Newquay, LLangranog and Aberporth, not to mention the local Chinese and Indian Takeaways. We found your campsite to be perfectly located and well-kept whilst your commitment to customer service was most refreshing. Never in 10 years camping has a campsite owner gone out of his/her way to thanks us for staying, so we were made up by Andyís kind words as we were packing up our tent. This weekend was our daughters 6th Birthday and our 5th birthday camp in the area but this was by far the most enjoyable. I am sure that we will be re booking when the next birthday comes around.
We have just returned from a perfect weekend camping. Mum stayed in the log pod which was fantastic.(pic of my step dad by log pod) The site was small but perfect, beautiful views amazing hosts. farmer andy was awsum letting the children feed the lambs .....we will b back
We had a fantastic 3 night stay over the easter holidays, kids were allowed to bottle feed some lambs,THEY LOVED THE EXPERIENCE.we even saw a sheep giving birth,ps i am the one that got all emotional and cried. The owners are very friendly and the site is lovely, deffo going back for a second visit.xxx
Stayed here this Easter in the pod My daughter bought us as a christmas present Absolutley lovely site Friendly people who let our granchildren feed the lambs and we even saw a birth on our last day . friends jioned us It was cold at night and the lack of tiolet and shower facilities may be a problem n summer but we foumd no problem. Will go back again
Just booked for the 3rd year running...quite simply the only place I will ever camp! Peace & quiet, lovely hosts in Helen & Andy, clean facilities and great location for beaches and walking the dogs.
Hi Andy/Helen we had a great time this august bank holiday again even though the weather kind of let us down. we would recommend your campsite to anyone who would like a family friendly holiday or if you just want to chill. Great site, great people and cant wait till next year thanks to you both. Kev and Mandy. Ps still waiting for my change Andy ha.
Me and a couple of friends stayed here back in September 2011. We had a fantastic time for the 3 days we stayed in our tent. Helen was lovely to deal with and made us feel very welcome even though we were of a younger age group to the other visitors. We will be visiting againg :)
Helen & Andrew are amazing hosts who give you a very warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble for them. Spotless facilities, close enough to town for supplies but far enough away to be peaceful, beautiful walks and scenery - I wouldn't stay anywhere else. See you again soon xx
We had a lovely short break in August. A very warm welcome, great views, peaceful and away from the crowds and a 2 minute walk from the coastal path which is stunning. A great base from which to explore the sandy beaches from Aberaeron to Llangranog and further. Aberystwyth, Newcastle Emlyn, Devil's Bridge, Cenarth Falls, Cardigan, Aberporth, all within an easy drive and well worth the visit. Great beaches at New Quay and you can walk right round to Cei Bach when the tide goes out. Andy and Helen are wonderful hosts. We will be returning. Many thanks!
Absolutely fabulous site with the best views over the irish sea. Andy & Helen are lovely hosts that are only to willing to help and ensure your stay is as good as it gets, thanks very much for a great stay and we will hopefully see you again very soon..!

Just had a week staying at this lovely peaceful site in a part of wales we love. we arrived bank holiday Sunday and although it was busy we were still catered for brilliantly and we had a very enjoyable stay overall. would recommend to anyone, Thank you :)
Really lovely site, excellent position, Helen and Andy are wonderful, really helpful and excellent with kids. We loved it here and will definately come back.
Amazingly friendly welcome by Andy, told to pitch wherever we wanted to. Fantastic panoramic views of Cardigan Bay. Despite the fact the site filled up really quickly, as this was August Bank Holiday Weekend, space was found for the odd straggler and stray camper. Great dog friendly site, with the hilarious stunt dog of Andy's that rides around on the roof of his truck. Don't think you'd find a friendlier site in Wales...and we'll certainly be visiting again!!! Many thanks!!!
Had a great week and a bit at this place very recently with the family. Helen and Andy are the loveliest site owners you could wish to meet; Andy has a wicked sense of humour and is often around the site chatting to campers and having a giggle. The site is small, which is what attracted us to it; it can get a bit busy and at times the facilities are insufficient for the number of campers; subsequently you can end up waiting a while for the loo or shower. There are plans to extend the facilities. There is a little duck pond on site which is a great draw for the kids as is Tonto, the horse that lives in an adjacent field. Andy occasionally lets the kids (and adults) ride Tonto. The site can get windy, so make sure you peg out your tent sufficiently. All in all, we had a great time, we loved the site and the fresh farm eggs and will probably go back again.
Just arrived home from our 1 week stay here and we wish it was longer! The site is a true gem run by the kindest people you will ever meet who couldnt have been more helpful!! The site is beautiful with exceptional views across cardigan bay and the animals give it extra personality. Thank you for a wonderful stay and everything you did for us and see you next year!! We cant wait!!
Upon arrival we were greeted by Andy who is a brilliant host and extremely helpful. The site itself is very well maintained, we were told to pick a spot. The view we had was fantastic. Having the ducks, geese and sheep nearby was an added bonus for our 18 month old daughter. If you're planning a little getaway with or with out kids i highly recommend Ty Rhos. thanks guys
Aug 2011. Excellent site if you want to chill and wildlife watch. We were lucky enough to see badgers nearby which was a first for us. Helen and Andrew were a lovely couple welcomed you with a cheerful smile every time they saw you and couldn't be helpful enough. Will definitely be back. Thanks for making our stay a great success.
Just got back from a lovely few days holiday in Newquay, this is a lovely site, just perfect for my family, the kids had a brilliant time riding their bikes and playing football. Will definately be coming back next year, if not sooner. :)
Lovely little site, and run by very welcoming people, now changing our plans for a re-visit later this year. Thanks again to Andy + Helen ..see you soon!
If you are looking for a place where you can get away from it all and relax, Ty Rhos is the place to go. The site itself is imaculately maintained, in a remote location but still within walking distance of New Quay. The Coastal Path is less than a 10 minute walk away, and the views are second to non. Site owners Helen and Andy could not be more friendly or helpful, and for a keen walker like me, their knowledge of the area provided some very interesting information relating to the places that I had visited during my stay there. This was my first visit to the area for nearly 20 years, but I will definately be going back to Ty Rhos and cannot recommend it highly enough. Brilliant.
Thankyou so much for a lovely holiday. Helen and Andy are so welcoming including both dogs and ducks. Site was fantastic with views to die for. Holiday was so good that we left the van there and returned the following weekend to have another short break.
Hi just like to thank Andy & Helen for the great time we had. This is a great site & we will most certainly be recommending it to friends and family. We will be returning our selves in the near future.
We enjoyed three days of relaxation with our camper van here. The view is stunning, the price was right and the staff bent over backwards to meet our every need. Everyone needs to have at least one nights stay. If you are looking for chips chops and bingo halls, forget it. We'll be back.
Ty Rhos farm is a beautiful and scenic campsite, with a beautiful view of the opposing fields and newquay beach, near enough only a 10 minute walk down the road is a lovely little pub which serve brilliant meals and another 15 minutes down the road is the lovely little town of newquay which is quaint and quiet, we would definately reccommend this campsite to many friends and family as we really enjoyed our stay and it a very relaxing and peaceful place to be, so thankyou for having us and we shall definately be returning in the near future! x
Thankyou to the owners who were friendly and made us feel very welcome at their site. The ducks are also very friendly and fun to wath as they waddle around the site. A sign on the main road and perhaps also up the track might help people to find the site more easily.
Ty Rhos is a pretty and very well-kept campsite with views of the sea and the surrounding countryside. The owners (and their two sheepdogs!) are extremely friendly and helpful and the site itself is only a short walk from Newquay and also from the coastal path and surrounding beautiful, unspoilt countryside - so the best of both worlds! We had a lovely, restful time walking the coastal path and watching the seals and visiting Newquay, where we saw dolphins from the jetty. All in all, Ty Rhos is a lovely place to stay and highly recommended.
We came for a short break in June and loved the place so much we came back in July. My 4 year old daughter now asks if we can go there, we shall be back again soon. Thankyou Helen and Andy for a fantastic holiday.
Had a fantastic time, Helen and Andy where so friendly, even our two dogs were made to feel welcome, the site was well presented and the toilets/showers where very clean. We was only going to stay 3 nights, but didnít want to leave so we stayed one extra night, we will definitely be coming back soon
A lovely welcome, a beautiful place totally unspoilt....Clean facilities. A Big thank you to Helen & Andy for making my 40th birthday special. A perfect getaway, lovely coastal walks and only a ten minute walk into New Quay. So close to nature with the ducks greeting you every morning. Beautiful. Will definately return. Thank you again both.
Stayed for one night and were tempted to skive work to stay longer ... we'll be back.
Great views, great location and the friendliest hosts. Hope to see you again soon.
A great site. Andrew is so friendly and the views are great. Clean, well organised campsite. Looking forward to the self catering houses to be available as well.
We have just arrived home from a fantastic weeks stay, we should of left on Saturday but as the weather was so good we had to stay until the Sunday. Great site, lovely views and the hosts Andy and Helen (and Spike) gave us a great welcome. Hoping we can make time next year to go. Jay and Holly (our dogs) are both fast asleep, dreaming of their holiday.
What a brilliant site with
a great view... Not to far from the beach (which is a pleasant walk)
and great for walking our dog (Jet) down the country lanes whilst
enjoying the views of the coastline and wildlife.
We arrived on the Friday and left on the Monday - We wish we stayed for the week at least..
Keep up the good work and we will all see you again in 2010.
Thanks to Andy & Helen for the welcome and firewood.
First of all, apologies to everyone for our grumpy dog (especially Spike), she was having a bad week. Thanks for a great stay on your lovely site (don't change a thing - except the weather maybe?!) Keep up the good work :o)
WOW! What a find! super, relaxed and uncrowded site. Many thanks for
the fire wood and cup of tea it was much appreciated. Flossy is
A wonderful welcome from Helen & Andy and not forgetting Spike. We will defiantly be coming back soon. Thanks again.
What a gem of a site Ty Rhos Farm is. Perfect for peace and relaxation, just what we needed, we had a lovely stay. Helen and Andy are very welcoming and always willing to be of assistance, should you need it. A sea view from our caravan windows was a delight and the ducks and geese provided great amusement. We shall return, no doubt.
Just come back from a weeks camping at Ty Rhos and already missing the place. It was just perfect for what we wanted, peace and quite and somewhere safe for the kids, Kerry loved the freedom of being able to wander around the campsite with her new found friend James, who she still misses. Can't wait to come back next year but this time for 2 weeks instead of 1. Thanks to Andy for the chats and making us feel so welcome. Roll on 2010.
Just a quick one to thank you for making us feel so very welcome at your wonderful site, and thus helping us have an amazing holiday! I have never been to such a friendly/clean campsite! Keep up all of your good work. We hope to see you again soon!
This is a lovely, simple campsite in a stunning location (and very cheap!). The owners are friendly and welcoming, and the geese and ducks on the next field provide endless entertainment if you require more than just sitting watching the sun set over the sea. Great location which I hope to return to soon.
Just spent a few days on this campsite and it was wonderful. The views from the site are beautiful and the welcome by Andy (and his dog spike!) made us at home. We were planning to go into New Quay both nights we stayed but never made it as we had such a great time on the site. We will definitely visit again.
Our first time "proper camping" and we could not have picked a better site as we were made to feel so welcome by Andy and Spike. I have to agree that it's a hidden gem so make sure you stick with the same formula. Great walks and scenery - will be back next year to sample the local and it's food and also see how the improvements are going.
Ditto the previous comment! What an amazing time we had and superb site, which we will be recommending to all of our friends! Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We loved walking along the coastal path which started just on the door step of the site, enjoyed the lovely home-made food of the pub which was just a 10 minute walk down the road, walking for just about 20 mins into New Quay with its shops and pubs and lovely bay, the gorgeous views of both sea and hills from the site as well as feeding the ducks and geese on site before we left! We felt truly spoilt. Your campsite is a hidden gem and we too hope there will be enough room for us next time we come!! Thanks again! :-)
What could we say about our recent stay? We could echo every comment made previously and do, and some. I, myself, am loathe to say TOO much, because its a gem and I'd hate to see it go mainstream. Selfish? You bet ! But anyone that has been under canvas, looking for 'that' special little plot, look no further. But woe betide if we can't get two weeks in next summer due to demand ! Wish I'd said nothing now :( Thanks to you both for it all! You and the people you and the site attract, are a grand combination PS Don't tell your friends.
Love camping at
this site, for its peacefulness, friendliness with those we meet and
such kindness and help from Andy and Helen who are always wanting
our stay to be welcoming. We have camped here twice, two weeks at a
time and used the caravan at Easter. Love the scenery, and the
dolphins are spectacular. The children also love the tranquillity of
this site, with still loads of fun of the countryside and farm
What one needs to gain rest and uplift, fantastic!!
We stopped off at Ty Rhos for two nights this summer after struggling to find a site nearby that suited. We've stayed in a lot of sites over the years in the camper and I've got to say that Ty Rhos is our new favourite. Spectacular location, great facilities (amazingly clean), lovely and quiet (but not wierdly so), level pitches with sea views, very reasonably priced, very friendly and helpful management and great eggs. What more could you ask for? We generally tour around and only stop for a few nights at a time, but with Ty Rhos we'll be back and next time for longer!
Firstly thank you to Sarah
Ward for helping us put up our tent, our stay was great, weather was
not so good, but was made to feel very welcome by Andy and Helen.
Great base for coastal walks, dolphin spotting in New Quay. Lovely pub for meals just a short walk away. Hopefully see you next year if Paul can persuade Michelle to camp again and leave behind basic luxuries!!!
Brilliant campsite, we were made to feel very welcome. James loved playing with Spike and is still missing him. As Sarah Ward said, that cup of tea at the end was much appreciated!
Had a great time, lovely place to relax. Thanks for the cup of tea after we had packed away it was very welcome. Rowans really enjoyed himself and was sorry to leave.
See you next year!!
We loved it, will definitely come back again!
Beautiful location, well kept caravan and ideal area for dog walking! Even the bad weather couldn't spoil our visit, we will definitely return! Jake says thank you and he will be back to play with Spike.
A lovely break, nice van, great
place to stay, nature on the doorstep and fantastic coastline. What
could be better?! we'll be back!
P.s thanks for the biscuits and wild flowers - a nice welcoming touch.
enjoyed by all!
Lovely location, wonderful views and welcoming
Will definitely return. Very grateful for the milk jug and biscuits upon arrival!
West Wales weather could've been better but we had a lovely time nevertheless!
Had a fantastic weeks holiday, The caravan is well
equipped and lovely & cosey at night time. Our 1st holiday with Bess
and she has really enjoyed running around and playing without her
lead on. Good walk to the local pub (and into New Quay) Beautiful
surroundings, beautiful weather (luckily). Couldn't have asked for
will definitely be back again, thanks
a great time. Walking fantastic. Lovely Welcome, cakes and chocs
Great hosts, we will be back. Thank you.
